VOLTA (2025)

VOLTA is a multimedia dance work suspended within the shared relationships between the body, technology, and the natural world. In this moment of literal and poetic shift toward unknown potential futures, how might we hold the real, the artificial, and the hybrid in a delicate equilibrium? This first version of the work for seven student performers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology activates stunning interactive video designs within an imposing yet minimalist set. VOLTA offers the audience an embodied visual and sonic dreamspace; a space in which to create one’s own associations and narratives.

The student-version of VOLTA was a commission by MIT Theater Arts with funding from the Center for Arts, Science, and Technology and the Theater Arts department. A second version of the piece is in development for the professional sphere with a 2027 premiere.
