Momentary Landing (2020)

Momentary Landing is a dance film commissioned by the SUNY Brockport Department of Dance featuring professional dancer and Associate Professor of Dance at SUNY, Stevie Oakes, and professional dancer and SUNY Brockport alumnus Jordan Demetrius Lloyd. The film brings the dancers together into a shared virtual duet since the COVID-19 pandemic prohibited them from creating and performing a live piece during the 2020 season. The piece plays with ideas of arrival and departure, moving without spacial restrictions, and creating presence with an absent duet partner.
